Making A Living Online

How do you make a living online? Grow your mailing list. It is the only way to make money. The more people on your maling list the more likely they are to buy from you, granted you interact with the list and update them as to what YOU'RE selling, who you're working with. Online ventures require an explosion of traffic if you want any lasting results. If I just keep showing one sales page, talking about one or two things beneficial to joining my business, you will never want to see my business, ever again! You gotta have fun, so others see you having fun and decide to follow you, pay attention to what you have to say in your blogposts, or even read your emails.

So you never want to overload anyone; they already got enough on their plate, think of something you know everybody needs NOW, what's hot? A link shortener, a banner creator, a new safelist, a web traffic exchange? If it will make their tasks easier; for instance the way an autoresponder sends out all your email messages on autopilot; that sort of thing can make the day to day easier for people who want to tell everybody about their online business; but also have all the info in place, ready to go, so it never needs to be done again. If you can find some affiliate tools that help others progress along with you, they will always enjoy letting you be one of the people they sign up with. That's the value of an online mailing list!

Traffic Exchanges are a great place to interact, be seen and grow some warm leads to your business opportunity. But you need to chat, even interact with the various mediums other members may be using to get YOUR attention. Don't be afraid of reliable online traffic resources, or the people sharing them. When people start hitting you up on Skype, Twitter or Facebook, asking you to join them, be glad. You're doing the right thing, because it's all about who you know and like and trust in this business. You're not always gonna get along with other business owners. Some of them have such huge egoes, they'll take your money and spit in your face. You want to be nice to your members and make sure you appreciate your list.

Sometimes making an example of a member, by deleting their account can be okay or even necessary, as long as that member has truly violated the terms of the membership agreement. But generally, when someone joins your website and either upgrades or remains a happy member, unless they do something really wrong, you don't want to just delete them; especially if they are, or have been paying customers. A friendly relationship with your list should be the main objective in your business. I've upgraded my membership in several different resources, but later the websites were sold. The new owners would delete the accounts of upgraded members, because they didn't want to honor their own customers. This is really lousy if it happens to you, so don't go out of your way to be this kind of webmaster. They rarely have any online success.
